A Family of Time
Remembering Those Dedicated to Space Exploration
Remembering Those Dedicated to Space Exploration
Now I will talk about my dedication to astronauts and cosmonauts who died. I know there will be those who ask, "Why include the Soviet cosmonauts?" Though during the Cold War era the Soviets were considered enemies of the "free world", the knowledge gained from their space program ended up aiding in the progress of a world combined space exploration program being used together today.
A certain number of those who were in the United States' space program did not make it into space because of their deaths here on earth. I do not know if the same possibility happened in the Soviet space program since the book I obtained was vague because of certain still classified missions when it was printed. Both sides had people who died returning to space while we know of those who died during launch pad tests and on their way to space from our program. I thought it fitting to include all the names who contributed to the present space program.
There was no way to properly dedicate in my book to all the people involved on the ground who gave their dedication and time to the continued space exploration effort. The jobs were numerous and some people wouldn't include those jobs that some would consider menial tasks but if it were for all those jobs the space programs would be where they are today. So here I say Thank You to all of them.
Though the space program has had slowdowns due to wait for technological advances to catch up we still need the visionaries, the task doers and those who risk their lives to keep our progress going even during times of world political turmoil. Let us not forget those who went before us and those yet to come.

Below is the acknowledgements page from the first book. Unfortunately, I didn't know all those names of people who were involved in progressing space travel. I did my best to make sure people don't forget those who were willing to and ultimately did
give their lives in this pursuit of our future. Sometimes those names weren't always share do to the times they died. The tensions between nations made those in charge choose to not release everything that happened. In most cases they couldn't hide things from the public unless that nation controlled the "public media". Much of what happened in the United States of America with the space program was in the public eye.

Acknowledgments
THIS BOOK IS further dedicated to the remembrance of family. I want my family members who passed before this book was completed to always be remembered by my remaining and future family members. But we, as the human race, are really all family. So, I also want to dedicate this book to those members of our human family who were explorers and discoverers throughout the told and untold history of the human presence on this planet we call Earth. In making this dedication, I acknowledge the following people who lost their lives in pursuit of mankind’s continued exploration of space. Our memory of them and their pursuits is key to our future pursuits.
